This is a fairly broad topic I know there are many companies out there willing to pay you to boost traffic to their blogs and things of that nature but there are also places such as MyLot that simply pay you a few pennies to post and reply to discussions that are on their site. While I would not look into this to make a full time income it can definitely come in handy when you are in those little financial crunches and in need of some gas or grocery money every month.

Have you ever tried this?

I love Mylot been using it

I love Mylot been using it for over a year. Been paid a few times. But as the site grows it becomes harder to come up with real original posts. Also you can get burned out. I know I did. I took a break and went back working on another payout from there now.

Paid to post was my sole

Paid to post was my sole income before and I could say that I was just earning a penny out of it. It takes time for me to write and eats my time.
At the moment, my source of income is online tutorial.I have researched for tutorial sites and made profile in each site. Students contact me if they wanted a class and I got paid through paypal.

I have tried some paid to

I have tried some paid to post opportunities and while no one will ever get rich from them, its something I am using to contribute to our holiday fund. I have never done MyLot though...maybe I'll check into this.

Paid to Post?

I've never tried the "Paid to Post" type of work - I tend to think that you might be better off in the long run if you write for yourself, rather than a one-time payment from others.  This post right here, for example, may eventually rise in the SERPS for the phrase "Paid to Post", and I may end up with some traffic from this message thread for years to come.

I understand that someone who works conscientiously on paid to post assignments can earn several hundred dollars a month, but I've not personally experienced with this.

I know that I end up doing a lot of writing that pays nothing, however; as I'm a frequent forum poster on Usenet groups, as well as a few websites - and I need to focus my writing on this website - to add value to it.  I think that if you focus on writing for money, you can do quite well, but I agree with you that it's not going to ever make a full-time income.

You are correct. Many work

You are correct. Many work from home "paid to post" and "paid to write" sites pay minimally and the work you would have to put in compared to what you take home definitely does not balance out. Profits are far better if you find a way to write for yourself, whether you are trying to build traffic to your site or advertising your affiliate programs etc etc.

I think for those though that do not have personal websites, products or links to market it can be a way to bring in a little extra spending money and they get the comfort of working from home. I did this for awhile and averaged around $300/mo but I know I was working more than 8 hours a day on it and many people do not have that kind of time to put into something that is not going to bring in a full paycheck.

In the long run I imagine different things work for different people and it is finding your niche and what works best for you.

(By the way great site!)

This Website - Burningknife.com

Thanks for the compliment - I hope to make it much better - as it's just starting out.

As for the info on your experiences, this is exactly the sort of material I hope I see more of on this site - nothing can motivate someone easier than knowing that someone else 'did this'... and if someone is stuck at home, and needs an extra $300 a month, this can certainly be an avenue to look at.

Already Making Money?

If you're already making money online - then you have to share!  Tell us what you do to make extra money - and help others who aren't making anything!  I'll be putting up a "Success Stories" forum soon, perhaps you'd like to contribute?

My hopes are to turn this website into a full-time income, I know it's possible - so with a lot of work, and a little luck - I'll be letting everyone know how I do ... so stay tuned!

Wow, what fantastic Alexa rank!?

I ran over to look at usfreeworkfromhome.today.com, and I turned on my 'SeoQuake' toolbar for Firefox, as I often do when checking out someone's site... I first spotted the PR0 ranking, then my eyes bulged out when I saw the 1,430 Alexa rating.  Simply Amazing!!!  So I clicked on the Alexa tab, and discovered that my SeoQuake plugin was reporting on 'today.com', not usfreeworkfromhome.today.com.

So it was rather funny ... my current Alexa ranking is over 14 million.  My hightest ranking website I own only carries an Alexa rating of 1,352,214.  I was just flabbergasted that your site was so high - but it was simply a bug in either SeoQuake, or in Alexa.

Actually, now that I check, it's a problem on Alexa's side.  If you put in the URL, it comes back with 'today.com' ranking.

If you don't already use Firefox, I'd highly encourage you to give it a try - the multitude of plugins available for it is amazing - and if you're a webmaster, the SeoQuake plugin is an absolute necessity!

paid to post

I do two paid to post sites and two read email sites. The thing about this site is that I don`t know if I can tell you what I do without getting in trouble with one of my sites.
