GPT sites
I mentioned this elsewhere, but one of my salvations this year in literally being able to pay the bills are gpt sites. GPT = get paid to, and it refers to clicking on links, reading email, and/or completing offers. I do more of the latter, completing offers. This means basically just looking at a lot of advertising. It does take some time, but you can make anywhere from just a few dollars to a few hundred dollars a month. I've written more about this on my blog.
My favorite site, and the one I use almost exclusively, is GPTCashcow. The admin is very reliable; she does a lot of contests, and she's very prompt in her payments. I trust her, and the site is proven to me since I've gotten my payments on time for several months now.
If you'd like to try out this method of making money online, please use this link: http://gptcashcow.com/members/register.php?ref=Orrymain

It's a great way to avoid to steer clear of anything questionable. I keep the URL handy, and I get their notices when a new site is placed on the watch list.

Are we also talking about PTP paid to post or PTB paid to blog sites as well? Some sites you can make about $10 bucks a month at. Also I haven't heard of the CashCow one I may have to check that out. PTC sites are good but unless you have a lot of referrals or are really good at marketing it can be hard, but if you stick with it it will pay off.
I'm not referring to the PTC (paid to click) sites myself because I don't believe in them very much. You have to spend an enormous amount of time clicking on things and you get very little money for doing so. Years ago, you could make decent money doing that, but no more.
GPTCashcow occasionally has a few PTCs on it, but it's minimal.
The blogging posting is also a different type of income. It's something I'd like to do more of, but it's really hard to break into successfully.

What about the sites that have not just the do an offer thing but also clicks? I have found many of them and once tried to do a whole bunch at once. But the pennies they pay per click takes for ever. I might check out cash cow and see what they offer.
Yes, that's what I was just saying to wildwoman. I'm not a big fan of PTC. You get what -- 1 cent or .02 cents, or something ridiculous like that. I can't imagine the thousands of banners you have to click on in order to actually make some money.

I, too, think that doing PTC is not worth your time and effort. Back in 2001, I had made over $30 with one of them, but this is next to impossible now. You are lucky to click your way to $10, and it will take forever.
Yeah. In the old days, just surfing paid big bucks. It was great. Back then, it was just extra money to me, but I made a ton because I was online a lot. Now, though, I think PTC is more scammy than not. It's just unrealistic to get paid. People rely on downlines, almost like a pyramid scheme.

I like that idea. I'll try to check that link that you had provided.
Thanks for the info.
There are so many of them. That can probably turn out to be a lucrative venture for someone who was motivated and consistent.
Yes, they can be. I look at it as a job, and I treat it that way, putting in a good number of hours. Some folks might think it's boring or tedious or whatever, but it pays my bills, so I just focus on it with that attitude. It's my job.

Do you complete offers that require your credit card and payment? From my (limited) experience, most of them do.
I had tried many GPT sites, many of them turn to be scams. But some of them do pay.But the amount we can earn through them is very meager and there is no great deal in it.

Are these sites for real? I mean do they really pay you? Have you been paid already?
Yes! I've been paid promptly and completely at GPTCashcow for several months now. That's why I call it a proven site to me. There are many of these places, but this is the one I believe in, because it's worked for me. It's paid a good part of my bills for me.
It doesn't cost anything either. Sign up and check it out. There is a help section on the member's home page. There's also a great forum there with lots and lots of friendly people, like me. One section is just for proof of payment, and you can see all the payments that people post (we get $1 to post them -- it helps to show that payments are very much for real).
I'm happy to answer your questions, here or there on that forum!

The thing I don`t like about the offers is that they cost you money and you have to keep track of when your trial expires so you don`t get charged full price. I also found that most of the offer sites have the same offers. You can only do the same offer one time during a certain period of time.I really don`t like them.
That's if you do the trial offers, and for those, you are correct. You have to keep track of trial times and watch your credit card. Sometimes you have to return things. However, a lot of folks don't do the trial offers. That is not the only kind of offer. In fact, the majority of offers are not trials.
These offers promote a product -- let's say Paris Hilton shoes. You click on it, enter your email (and you do want to use an email from a gmail account or something that is a spare email account). Then you go through several screens of advertising. Like I said, it can take a couple of minutes, but there's nothing to buy, no credit card info given or needed, etc. You get paid for just looking at the advertising.
So, again, trials are one way to make extra money, but a GPT site has much more to offer. At GPTCashCow, there are several trial offers, but the majority are not trials.
Hope this helps to clarify!
Oh -- and I believe the admin gives $5 just for signing up, so you get a little something just for checking it all out.

I did not know that some places pay you to watch ads like this. What is an approximate pay per ad? Is there a limit as to how many you can watch per day?
The pay depends on the site. You really need to go and look at it and read the help section or check out the forum where a lot of questions are answered. It can be a bit difficult to explain to a newcomer if you haven't looked at it.
For example, most sites don't call it 'cash'. At The Cow, it's milkshakes. Other places call it fire helmets or gold dubloons. You earn 'x' number of these when an offer is completed. At the end of the month, the milkshakes or fire helmets or gold dubloons (or whatever) are converted to cash. At the cow, you can get paid via PayPal, check, money order, RME, or gift card. Two milkshakes equal one dollar. The typical offer pays one or two shakes. Some are more, and some are less.
It'll make more sense if you go and give it a look. ;}

Thank you on your post here. if you have tried it and they are worth it then it is worth another look form me.

Some sites are really good with providing their members with solid deals and good payoffs. Other sites are more along the lines of rip-off scams. That is why it is best to do a little research prior to signing up.
GPTCashCow is definitely reliable. Again, I've been using them for months and have gotten all my earnings promptly. Without the Cow, I'd be in trouble because my financial situation is pretty miserable. The Cow has essentially paid my bills in recent times, so I'm highly grateful for it.
That said, people are right that there are other sites that are rip offs. You have to be careful. That's why I stick with the Cow and really don't go anywhere else nowadays. If you run across a site you are unsure of, though, check them out at the watchdog site -- http://www.gptboycott.com/watch/
Thanks for reading everyone!
