As returning visitors have figured out, I changed this past July 4th weekend to running BurningKnife on WordPress – it had started to become quite the spam magnet under Drupal – and I hasten to add that there’s nothing wrong with Drupal – it’s just easier to manage this site under WordPress. It seems that I really don’t need the extra power of Drupal.

Here’s another neat trick for finding Do-Follow, High PR blogs that you can leave a comment on, and thus garner yet another link to your website.

It’s a simple one really, simply search Google for “blog comments powered by Disqus” – be sure to include the quotes. Also include your keywords… so if your website is on Internet Marketing, then the Google search term would be:

I use a free service called Link Diagnosis to keep an eye on my link efforts for this website. It shows how many unique links are reported by Yahoo, and more importantly, what the anchor text is. You can also download the information provided into text or CVS format – which makes it a wonderful service for keeping historical data on your link building efforts.

RSS content is becoming more and more popular, and with good reason. It allows the end user to have some control over what he wants to read – and for the webmaster, it allows him to bundle everything up, including articles newly written – and immediately publish everything. RSS is simply a method of syndicating content.

I’m a big believer in information – the more the better. I want to know exactly what’s going on at all times – I have four different statistics modules for this website, for example – each one gives me facts that the others don’t. Now, you may or may not have ever heard the term – but link bait are webpages created for the purposes of bringing in one-way links to your site.

Reciprocal links (You link to me if I link to you) are valuable as well – but search engines value one-way links as a more powerful vote for your website.
