As returning visitors have figured out, I changed this past July 4th weekend to running BurningKnife on WordPress – it had started to become quite the spam magnet under Drupal – and I hasten to add that there’s nothing wrong with Drupal – it’s just easier to manage this site under WordPress. It seems that I really don’t need the extra power of Drupal.

Some of you have certainly figured out that Youtube videos bring traffic to your website… With Windows Movie Maker, it’s really not difficult to put together a short video that can garner views, and bring you traffic. The problem that many people are running into is audio – or rather, the lack of good audio. Youtube has been seriously cracking down on videos that use copyrighted music.

This post will be in the form of a test – I’d like to see just how quickly I can rank for the phrase ‘How to Make Money Online With Clickbank Products’. For those of you who are familiar with article marketing, you’ll note that I use the keyword phrase that I’m trying to ‘rank’ for in the title, the first paragraph, and the last paragraph. This particular phrase was mentioned at the Warrior forum, and it gave me the idea to see just how long it takes to land on the first page of Google for a long-tail keyword phrase such as this one.

Okay, I admit, I’ve been rather wary of Pay Per Click as a method of making money… Many people jump in, and discover that they lose money to Google for campaigns that they don’t know how to set up properly. This can be very frustrating for beginners – and I still believe that this is not an area where beginners should concentrate their efforts. However, if you have a minimum amount of experience creating and setting up a website – this is definitely a place to earn a great deal of money almost automatically…

Here’s another neat trick for finding Do-Follow, High PR blogs that you can leave a comment on, and thus garner yet another link to your website.

It’s a simple one really, simply search Google for “blog comments powered by Disqus” – be sure to include the quotes. Also include your keywords… so if your website is on Internet Marketing, then the Google search term would be:

That’s the question I ask myself every night, before turning in to bed… “What did I do today to earn extra money online?” If I cannot answer that question in a positive manner – then I know that no matter what else I accomplished, earning more money was not one of them.

I have a wonderful website… but a simple 4 or 5 paragraph article will jump to the front page of Google everytime! Why does Ezinearticles, or similar article directories – have such powerful results, and my website such poor results? The answer is simple:

Yes, it’s true – Google doesn’t exactly tell the truth all the time. One very good example is when you are trying to determine how competitive it will be for a particular long-tail keyword phrase… Let’s try a simple example… Go to Google, and type intitle:”affiliate marketing system” – this will tell you how many websites are specifically targeting that exact phrase by using it in a title.

I use a free service called Link Diagnosis to keep an eye on my link efforts for this website. It shows how many unique links are reported by Yahoo, and more importantly, what the anchor text is. You can also download the information provided into text or CVS format – which makes it a wonderful service for keeping historical data on your link building efforts.
