Just a short note – my Alexa rating is 14,382,667 – and the site went active this week. My goal? Break into the 1 million rank area within 2 years. Mark the date, and let’s see how close I can come. It’s probably helpful that my site isn’t a ‘new’ one – the domain has been active since 2002. (A solid reason to look into purchasing a ‘used’ domain name, rather than a brand new one that’s never been used.)
My PR ranking is zilch – but it will be interesting to see how fast it rises. My goal? A PR 2 ranking by the end of this year, just three short months away. Build to a PR 4 by the middle of next year.
I currently have 55 pages indexed by Google, and 10 pages indexed by Yahoo. (Having a sitemap probably helped me there) Pretty good considering that I just went live. I just added a link from a PR 6 rated site that I own – so that will, I’m sure, help.
Goals are important, but it’s also important to know where you started, so you can chart your progress. This is why I’m posting this for the world to see.
